Apparently DTN thinks that there is some validity to this website because they have begun hiring people to leave fictitious comments! Sneaky and underhanded? Absolutely! Unfortunately, this is norm for DTN Management Company.

You've VotedRATE THIS COMMENTTerribly rude employees make for a horrible experience. My apartment flooded multiple times, had a bug infestation when I moved in, had rank and unclean carpeting, rotting walls and the list goes on and on.

You've VotedRATE THIS COMMENTI have soo many complaints about Campus Hill & I've only lived for about 4 months.
First off, there's the train. When we were taking a tour of the place there was no mention of a train that comes by every hour or so... luckily rite before we left one came by & we asked our "tour guide" or whatever you call them if they've had alot of complaints on the train noise. she said no, that no one's ever mentioned it before. LIE. I hear every train that comes by, likewise for my roomates, neighbors, and friends that come over.
Next, when we first moved in, we were told that our kitchen and the tiling was going to be taken care of "as fast as they could." The manager even sent me and e-mail (which i still have) saying that she would handle that whole situation and take care of it asap. It took them 2 months & me constantly complaining for them to come get it done, which only was like a 6 hour process... why lie & procrastinate something that doesnt take that long.
Next, we were told that our carpet was going to be brand new when we first got there. lie, it was old & had stains all over.
Next comes the building maintenance. I understand they are trying to benefit us by making the place nicer, but why would you send people out to work on it on a Saturday morning at 8 a.m.''' As a student, the last thing I want to hear is a hammer going off by your head at 8 when its your day off or you have an exam the next morning. Why not schedule them to start working at 11'''
I've already read that about the water temp in the shower. It is always changing. Its soo noisy that you can hear the people below/above you running while your in the living room.
My last gripe & most important of all was how they handled the energy bill. They claim that the bill goes through either DTN or Consumers, whichever you choose. We went with consumers & we got the regular bill every month like normal... Well come about the 3rd month we have a ledger posted on our door saying that we owe $80 to DTN for the energy bill... why would they sit there and tell you that the bill goes through either on or the other & end up sending you one. So, like i advise to all people who live here, I called down there to get it straigtened out... Turns out, it was "a different address" that it was suppose to go to... but it sooo happened to have my name & apartment number on there. What were they gonna do, try and take my money and think I was just gonna let it happen''
Basically, don't live here. They are not true to their word and I'm all ready to move out after only 4 or 5 months.Source: Apartment Ratings - f*ck campus hill+1 votes-Anonymous- from Someplace - 4 years ago

You've VotedRATE THIS COMMENTThe main reason I chose to move here was because I have a dog and they allow pets. The layout of the buildings is great, there is plenty of grassy space and trees, very ful of nature and not just one big parking lot. But the buildings are older- if you don't have a remodeled kitchen then you are out of luck.
I can not take the lack of hot/cold water, Taking a shower is hellish, because you will be burned or frozen, there is no constant temperature. The walls are pretty thin, but most neighbors are not too noisy.
My neighbors are actually great people, and a lot of families with children live here. There is always plenty of Parking, even though they say a car without a DTN sticker will get towed that IS NOT true.
Really the only horrible thing about this place is the management, or lack there of. They don't care about you, or if you have any problems. I was promised a bus pass and a remodeled bathroom (the tile is crumbling), and nothing was given to me. They flat out lied, and since it was not in the contract I will just deal with cruddy bathroom flooring.
But the maintenance guys are great. They always come out right away and are really kind people. The office staff are not helpful though at all.
What really made me angry was that the leasing agents are allowed to walk in unannonced to your apartment when you are not home. Now I have a dog who is sweet and friendly, but not every pet liked every person. And I don't want strangers in my place when around my pet without me there, not to mention all my crap lying around. I came to find out that I have no say in this, and no right to be warned when people will just be showing up, no matter what I am doing. For this reason I will never lease with DTN again, for me it is a privacy issue, and I do not feel secure with them being able to do that. But If you plan on leasing for a while and no prospective renters would be bardging in view the place, I assume they would not bother you.Source: Apartment Ratings - +1 votes-Anonymous- from Someplace - 6 years ago

You've VotedRATE THIS COMMENTSure the newly remodeled apartments are nice but they cost an arm and a leg. If you want cable you cannot cancel it once you sign the rider on the lease...even if they tell you that you can later. When you do sign your lease, if you have a pet, the pet fee is NOT included on the lease price, the pet fee on the pet addendum is an extra fee that is added on but not noted on the lease price. If you have a lower level apartment, you will get these hard shelled worm thingys that somehow manage to make their way in. The windows are very drafty, I had to buy a small space heater for one of the bedrooms. If you live in the G, H, or I apartments or any others down the hill, have fun when the snow arrives, you slip and slide off the curb as you go down the hill and around and if you drive a truck, good luck getting up the hill when its covered in snow (its hard enough with a car). Since this is a college town, you will probably have some inconsiderate neighbor blaring the bass in the next apartment over, do not count on that problem ever getting resolved. The lease states each tenant is entitled to peace and quiet. However they do NOT enforce this. All the managers will do is call the person and tell them who complained about them and ask them to turn it down. It works for a whole 5 minutes. When the water in the apartment above me is turned on the pipes make a loud obnoxious noise (although the water pressure is infact awesome). The heater clicks for about 3 minutes before it kicks on...makes you wonder if its going to blow up. If you do plan on breaking a lease, plan on paying about $250 for breaking it plus whatever deal they gave you when you sign the lease has to be paid back and you have to pay rent until the place is rerented, but let me tell you, they rent according to the university schedule so your apartment will be rented out 5 months in advanced so if you do need to break your lease, good luck...you may as well just keep paying on it even if you dont live there...it will save you about $700.

This place is falling apart. The new management is trying to improve on the appearance of the place but most of the work is centered at the entrance to the complex. Of course, you are not going to live at the gate to the apartment complex so beware! Response to request for repairs can take as long as two or more weeks even for simple things. They have some old dish washers that you may never use. For the one year I live there, I used the dish washer twice. The first time it worked very well. The second time I tried it, it just spilled soap scum all over the kitchen floor for me to clean. The fridge is old and leaks.
For what you get, campus hill is NOT cheap. The place is located very close to a rail line that makes deafening noise. It took me over six months to start getting used to this noise and shaking from the trains. Makes it so hard to sleep at night.
Above all, never trust any of those workers in the rental office at campus hill. I am not sure if it is from the training they received from DTN. From top to bottom, they lie (very dishonest)so bad they will dupe you at the slightest opportunity. The only thing you can count on at campus hill is abundance of parking space. If that is what you treasure most then this is the right place for you.
The place is also not safe even though the police do patrol the place from time to time. On two occations I had men trying to force their way into my apartment around midnight (apparently under the influence of drugs and alcohol). I had to call the corps on one of those occasions.
They have book shelves in the sitting room that are so weak you cann't store anything on. I tried it. The result' The entire book shelf came down with everything on it causing a lot of damage to my possessions.
Avoid by all means.Source: Apartment Ratings
